Typical Coverages
‘Powertrain’
Powertrain warranties cover basically the powertrain component of each car. These are the most expensive parts of the vehicle to replace. The powertrain includes the engine, transmission, and drive axles and drive shaft. These types of coverage's are great for higher mileage vehicles when most companies will not cover your vehicle for a ‘bumper to bumper’ plan.
‘Powertrain Plus’
These are the basic powertrain warranties plus a couple of extra or additional components. They are usually the few extras that are also quite pricey items to fix if they ever broke down, such as the air conditioning.

'Bumper to Bumper'
The ‘bumper to bumper’ coverage otherwise known as the ‘exclusionary’ coverage by most providers is the most comprehensive coverage in the industry. This coverage mimics your factory coverage or manufacturer’s warranty. The name exclusionary comes from this type of warranty’s contract listing all that the warranty ‘excludes’ rather than listing all that it covers. This is the most expensive warranty type coverage.

‘Stated Component’
This type of warranty simply “states” all of the components that it will cover on the contract. Whatever components are stated that the contract covers, that is what will be covered, nothing else. This warranty is cheaper than the exclusionary and covers most parts without the premium for the ‘bumper to bumper’ type coverage.
